|
| Using state of the
art design and engineering software, our engineers work closely
with the customer to insure that finished part specifications
are maintained while balancing high production and maximum tool
life.
To reach this goal, our
engineers will often use a compensated back taper.
Pioneered and perfected by the
engineers at Kingsford Broach and Tool, Inc., a compensated back
taper is a deliberate distortion of the cutting tool geometry
that, by virtue of the back taper, generates a true form on the
part. This intentional distortion provides maximum relief for
all but the cutting edge of a tooth. This maximum relief
eliminates drag, thus improving performance and prolonging tool
life.
